The EPA and Teens . . .

My students have lately taken it upon themselves to remove recyclable drink containers from the garbage cans at our school. My students want to help; they are earth stewards. I firmly believe that the future of our fragile planet rests in their hands. Take a look at this link. The United States EPA has recently created a web site designed to encourage teens to be environmentally conscientious; it's called Your Environment; Your Choice. In addition to lots of great information on how and why to be Green, the site also offers information regarding career paths in solid and hazardous waste, environmental jobs and internships, and colleges that have very good environmental programs. Oh . . . it also has a really fun environmental skate board game on its last link. You will have to download Adobe Shockwave to play it.
